"My hand's never been better," Loki said evenly. The next question was unsurprising, coming from Thor. Of course he thought it was a matter of simply doing something, as if a single act existed that could unmake the last month and return things to normal.
Loki snorted quietly. "Nothing. It cannot be made right. We can only proceed from here." His tone was flat and final.
For a moment, he examined his brother's face. It only seemed fair that perhaps he burden Thor with the problem that had been plaguing him this entire time, at least until Thor grew weary. "Perhaps you can find a reason for me to do anything but hate the people who cheered at my torture. I've certainly tried to come up with something; I know I ought to care about their wellbeing since they're your future subjects. I haven't the intestinal fortitude, I suppose."
